We would like to introduce you to Lily. Lily loves to read. Her CASA volunteer helped her get her own library card and now she has an unlimited supply of books. Lily is a bright, sweet, 9-year-old girl who loves kittens and “The Little Mermaid.”
Many families are spending the holidays apart this year. Like so many children across the country, Lily’s parents are struggling with addiction and can’t take care of her, so she is living in foster care. Lily’s Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is fighting for her best interests while her parents get the help they need so she can safely return home. The CASA volunteer spends time getting to know her and being a voice in court for Lily to makes sure a safe and permanent home is chosen for her.
We believe every child facing an uncertain future deserves a chance to thrive. CASA of Larimer County trains caring people, like you, to stand in the gap of an overburdened child welfare system. We are working to make sure all children in our community who have experienced abuse or neglect have a caring and consistent adult who will be there for them during their darkest hours.
Right now, CASA of Larimer County has the resources to provide a CASA volunteer to only 45% of the children in need of advocacy. We have 40 children waiting for the consistency, hope, and advocacy provided by CASA volunteers.
We thank you for your previous giving and ask you to please consider Lily and CASA of Larimer County as you plan your year-end donations. You can make a meaningful and lasting impact on children in our community. A gift to CASA of Larimer County provides the highest quality advocacy possible to children in need of a safe and permanent home. Help give children like Lily the gift of light; the gift of a CASA volunteer.
We appreciate your generosity in making a difference in our community and giving a local child a brighter future!
