He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964\, the same year Congress passed the Civil Rights Act. \nWe are committed to honoring Dr. King’s work and legacy by fostering diversity\, equity\, inclusion\, justice\, accessibility\, and belonging (#DEIJAB) in our organization and across our programs. \nYou can visit the Poudre River Public Library District for library resources and recommended books about Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement.
